We are Gracie Barra Denver, part of the world’s most trusted Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu team, with over 1,000 schools worldwide. Our mission, inspired by Grand Master Carlos Gracie Jr., is simple: use Jiu-Jitsu to help people grow, in discipline, confidence, and character.

While new to BJJ, the professors and coaches at Gracie Barra Denver have provided a safe and professional learning experience at a great facility! The fellow students have also been welcoming and everybody is there to build each other up to become better in the sport. Would highly recommend this location!

Nice facility and nice people. Location is convenient with ample parking and the instructor and staff was very welcoming and thorough. Facility is only about a year old and is extremely clean. Small class size allowed for a ton of one-one instruction.

They will be your mentors throughout your Jiu-Jitsu journey.

At Gracie Barra Denver, instruction is led by Head Professor Valerio Ubaldini, whose leadership, experience, and dedication help shape the academy’s strong and welcoming training environment.

Supporting his journey is his mentor, Professor Jefferson Moura, a 6th-degree black belt from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and a highly respected figure in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. A former World, Brazilian, Pan-American, and European Champion, Professor Jefferson has also played an important role in developing black belts and students around the world.

Together, their connection reflects the high level of knowledge, tradition, and excellence that Gracie Barra Denver brings to its students.

In addition to this strong lineage, every instructor at Gracie Barra Denver is trained and certified through the Gracie Barra Instructor Certification Program (ICP), one of the most respected instructor development programs in martial arts.

This means students benefit from more than technical Jiu-Jitsu knowledge. They learn from coaches who understand how to teach effectively, break down techniques clearly, recognize individual challenges, and communicate in a way that helps each student progress with confidence.
